The Biophysics & Biophotonics Research Group is part of the
Department of Physiology in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at
The University of Auckland.
Our
research uses advanced optical methods to probe for signal transduction pathways in
living cells. In addition to two-photon molecular excitation microscopy, confocal
microscopy and microfluorimetry, conventional electrophysiological and immunocy to chemical
techniques are used to examine and clarify the inter-relationship among various
components of cellular signal transduction.
