Research
Dr Scott has a long-term interest in the roles of proteolytic enzymes and their inhibitors in cellular growth regulation. More recently, this has led to research
on natural products which may act as inhibitors of proliferation of human cells,
particularly in relation to cancer and rheumatoid arthritis. Many such substances
are dietary components, so the research can overlap into areas of food science and
nutrition.
