Welcome to the School of Medical Sciences

The School of Medical Sciences is New Zealand’s largest research and teaching facility.

The school is based at the Grafton Campus, and is made up of six departments and two disciplines. The departments are: Anatomy with Radiology, the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre, the Biomedical Imaging Research Unit, Molecular Medicine and Pathology, Pharmacology, and Physiology. The two disciplines are Nutrition and Oncology.

The school has a strong foundation in medical research, and provides a stimulating environment for undergraduate and postgraduate students embarking on careers in the medical sciences.
