Important:
Student demand for MEDSCI 142 has exceeded our official enrolment capacity this
year. Enrolment into the course is now by Departmental Consent only. Please
follow the instructions below carefully:
If you qualify for the course and we can still accommodate you, you will be
enrolled into appropriate classes. Please note these may differ to the ones you
request.
Once enrolled, it is important that you do not attempt to make changes to your
MEDSCI 142 enrolment without asking first. If you do, you risk losing your place in this course
altogether.

Lectures
Lectures are
held in 2 streams on the City Campus on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
at 9:05 - 9:55am and again at 4:05 - 4:55pm. The morning lecture stream is more
popular. If your timetable allows you to enrol in the afternoon lecture stream
then we recommend that option, because it will be less crowded.
Students are required to attend their enrolled stream; stream hopping is not
permitted and will be actively monitored.
Laboratory sessions
Lab sessions are held on the
Grafton campus at Park Road near Auckland Hospital.
To find out more about campuses, visit Grafton Campus.
The MDL laboratory is on the ground floor of building 502. Laboratories last for 2.5 hours; they begin at fifteen minutes past the hour
to allow time to walk up the hill from the city campus (i.e. 10:15am
or 2:15pm start), and they finish at
fifteen minutes
before the hour to allow time for the return trip (i.e. 12:45pm
or 4:45pm finish).
You will attend one lab per fortnight, i.e. six labs during the 12-week semester.
Your lab will fall either on odd-numbered weeks (1,3,5...) or on even-numbered weeks
(2,4,6...). Laboratories will start in the first week of semester two.
