Biomedical, clinical and public health research form the backbone of the teaching carried out in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. Over half of its researchers are funded from money awarded annually from external funding agencies. The Faculty is responsible for more than sixty percent of all research money awarded to The University of Auckland.
