Increasing numbers of health professionals are enrolling in postgraduate study
in the faculty to advance their careers. To accommodate students with full-time
work commitments and those living outside the greater Auckland area, the faculty
offers many courses in block, distance and flexible learning formats.
- Weekly lectures
The traditional teaching format involving weekly lectures over a 12 week semester.
- Block courses
Offered on four or five consecutive days over several weeks.

Distance
courses
Use CDs, videos, workbooks and/or computers.Attendance at a weekend workshop in Auckland may also be required. This option is generally not suitable for students residing outside New Zealand. Please
contact the relevant postgraduate coordinator listed in the subject description
for advice.

Flexible courses
Offered on the same weekday from 9am-5pm four times during a semester (one
day per month), or on two
consecutive days (often Friday/Saturday) twice a semester. Many courses have their teaching
days at the School of Population Health at Tamaki Campus,
which offers easy access and free parking.
