specialisations designed specifically as advanced clinical and theoretical
training for health practitioners working in the following areas.

in Mental Health provides a pathway for graduates with health sciences, psychology, social work and
other relevant undergraduate degrees towards a postgraduate qualification in this
field, where there is a growing recognition of the need for advanced knowledge in
the mental health workforce.

This specialisation is also of interest to healthcare professionals already working
in primary healthcare, community mental health, Māori health, Pacific health and
health promotion contexts, who may be eligible for entry on the basis of a health
professional qualification plus at least two years relevant work experience. Submitting

health sciences or medical science programme,

Approval for enrolment in a mental health/addictions course towards this programme
