Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences Child and Adolescent Mental Health

This specialisation within the Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences is designed for graduates in medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, psychology, or social work who wish to further develop their skills and knowledge in this field. Areas of focus include child and adolescent development, psychopathology, assessment and case studies.

A limited number of fully funded places are available for applicants who meet certain criteria. Please submit an expression of interest with full details.

Child and Adolescent Psychopathology PSYCHIAT 740 is offered in a distance learning format. This is a core course for the child and adolescent mental health specialisation leading to a postgraduate certificate, which can also be taken as a single course for a Certificate of Proficiency.

Child and Adolescent Development PSYCHIAT 747 and Clinical Skills in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Theory PSYCHIAT 768 are taught in a Flexible learning format.
