The Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Medical Gynaecology (PGDipObstMedGyn) is aimed at improving the standard of obstetric and
gynaecological care provided by general practitioners working in the community.
Diploma candidates undergo a programme of practical training and formal education.

Eligibility
Students need to have completed the
requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (or
an equivalent medical qualification). Students must also hold current registration
with the Medical Council of New Zealand or as a medical practitioner in the country
of domicile.
This programme is offered by the
School of Medicine. The courses have fortnightly lectures, and will be available
in a Flexible learning format.

Important information
Places on this programme are limited. Priority may be given to applications
received on or before the closing date of 8 December.
Once you start this programme you will need to enrol continuously (each semester)
until the programme is finished. If you need to take a break you must apply for
a suspension.
This programme has a
total enrolment clause of 160 points. This is the maximum number
of points you can enrol in (including failed or withdrawn courses) towards this
programme.
