The Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health (PGCertPH) is aimed at clinicians and primary healthcare professionals, as
well as those working in local government and community-based organisations, or
graduates with related degrees such as health sciences planning a career in public
health.

From 2011 students will be required to enrol in and complete:
Students who have previously completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences
are exempt from the requirement to complete POPLHLTH 760.
A list of courses can be found in the

Public Health schedule.
The Public Health schedule includes courses in a broad range of subject areas, including
epidemiology, Māori health, Pacific health,
health management, health promotion,
and health programme evaluation and research.
Important information
Places on this programme are limited. Priority may be given to applications
received on or before the closing date of 8 December.
Once you start this programme you will need to enrol continuously (each semester)
until the programme is finished. If you need to take a break you must apply for
a suspension.
This programme has a total enrolment clause of 80 points. This is the maximum number
of points you can enrol in (including failed or withdrawn courses) towards this
programme.
