The Master of Clinical Education (MClinEd) programme provides educational theory and practice to equip graduates
for a career in clinical education. The programme
has two pathways - research masters or taught masters.
Eligibility
In order to be admitted to this programme, a student needs to have completed the
requirements for the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education, or equivalent,
and be currently engaged in clinical teaching or curriculum development in a health related discipline.
The programme is available in a flexible learning format, supported by online discussion
with access to an academic supervisor.
There will also be a two or three day workshop for some courses.

Content
Students who have completed CLINED 701 and 704 will have 15 points from each
course credited to the programme and transitional arrangements will apply
(please contact Peggy Wang – see details below). With the approval of the Head
of the Centre for Medical and Health Sciences Education up to 30 points may be
selected from other relevant postgraduate courses.
Students wishing to complete the MClinEd programme are required to enrol in, and complete,
the following courses:

- CLINED 797 - Research Portfolio(120 Points) OR

Important information
Places on the taught masters programme are limited. Priority may be given to
applications received on or before the closing date of 8 December.
Once you start this programme you will need to enrol continuously (each semester)
until the programme is finished. If you need to take a break you must apply for a suspension.
This programme has a total enrolment clause of 160 points. This is the maximum number
of points you can enrol in (including failed and withdrawn courses) towards
this programme.
