You will need to provide Serological evidence of Proof of Immunity for:
- measles
- mumps
- rubella
- VZV (chickenpox)
- hep B tuberculosis (mantoux or heaf tests)
- MRSA swab results.
In order to save time and money you must have provided us with your immunisation
laboratory results before your elective commences. You will not be able to
commence your elective until we have received the laboratory test results for
the diseases listed above. Test results for the proof of immunity must not be
more than three years old.
Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (M.R.S.A.)
All students must be shown to be free from M.R.S.A. To achieve this you are
required to produce documentation showing the results of M.R.S.A. testing (swabs
taken from nose, wrist and any skin lesion). For persons from overseas
the swabs must have been taken within seven days of their departure for New
Zealand and / or within seven days of last patient contact.
