External activities
The CMHSE staff are engaged at a number of levels within the wider medical education
community including ANZAME and ASME. Our Senior staff are members of internationally
recognised organisations such as the Medical Council of New Zealand, The Australian
Medical Council, and professional medical colleges. Staff have also contributed
significantly to research and curriculum evaluations, health reform projects and
organisational development for a number of countries, including developing countries,
transition countries and the former Soviet Union.
We are also involved in a number
of national and international research and educational development initiatives and
collaborations in areas including educational and clinical leadership, professional
identity, Psycho-educational measurement, using learning technologies in clinical education,
faculty development, cross cultural perspectives in education and workplace settings,
simulation-based learning, education and assessment in medical specialities, and
work-place based assessment.
