The Centre for Child and Family Research (CCFR), Te Ara Tupuranga, is a consortium of multi-disciplinary research groups combined administratively to ensure high quality research relating to national policy issues concerning children and families. The work undertaken by the Centre typically occurs at the interface of health, education and welfare.

The Centre, while physically situated in the School of Nursing, reports to the Dean of Medical and Health Sciences and the Dean of Education, thus reflecting its multi-disciplinary focus.
