CBR research

The Centre for Brain Research is committed to world-class research on the brain, in health and disease. From basic biomedical sciences to clinical research, our teams are working together to improve lives.

The Centre for Brain Research brings together over 40 different research teams from across The University of Auckland. Bridging the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences and the Faculty of Science, the centre has over 200 researchers all working towards the common goal of finding and developing new treatments for neurological disease.

The centre has identified three key areas where together we can make a difference. These include a Brain Recovery Clinic, a Biobank and Integrative Neuroscience Facilities, which are outlined in our strategic plan.
