The Research Advisory Committee is formed from Principal Investigators across the Centre for Brain Research. Representing both the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, these well-respected researchers shape the direction of the centre.

	Professor Alan Barber		Professor Barber is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Brain Research and Neurological Foundation Professor of Clinical Neurology at The University of Auckland. He is the Head of the Stroke Services at Auckland District Health Board. His research focuses on improving diagnosis and imaging in stroke and brain injury.
	Associate Professor Nigel Birch		A.Professor Birch leads the Molecular Neuroscience team in the School of Biological Sciences.
	Professor Winston Byblow		Professor Byblow leads the Movement Neuroscience team in the Department of Sport and Exercise Science.
	Associate Professor Bronwen Connor		A.Professor Connor leads the Neural Repair and Neurogenesis laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology.
	Professor Mike Dragunow FRSNZ		Professor Dragunow leads the Human Neurodegeneration Research team in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology.
	Professor Richard Faull ONZM, FRSNZ		Professor Faull is the Director of the Centre for Brain Research, and the Director of the Neurological Foundation Human Brain Bank. He runs the Neurogenesis and Neurodegenerative Diseases of the Human Brain laboratory within the Department of Anatomy with Radiology.
	Associate Professor Michelle Glass		A.Professor Glass leads the Receptor Signalling group in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology.
	Professor Alistair Gunn FRSNZ		Professor Gunn is the Head of the School of Physiology and co-leads the Fetal Physiology Laboratory.
	Professor Ian Kirk		Professor Ian Kirk is the co-director of the Research Centre for Cognitive Neuroscience within the Centre for Brain Research, and leads the Human Neuroscience team in the School of Psychology.
	Professor Rob Kydd		Professor Kydd is the Head of the Department of Psychological Medicine and co-leads the Psychopharmacology and Neurodynamics laboratory.
	Dr Fabiana Kubke		Dr Kubke leads research into Neuroethology, Developmental and Evolutionary Neurobiology within the Department of Anatomy.
	Dr Johanna Montgomery		Dr Montgomery leads the Synaptic Function Research team in the Department of Physiology. She is the coordinator of the Centre for Brain Research Seminar Series.
	Professor Louise Nicholson		Professor Nicholson is the Associate Dean of Research in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. She is the coordinator of the New Zealand Brain Bee Challenge, and leads the Molecular Neuroanatomy team in the Department of Anatomy with Radiology.
	Dr Jennifer Somerfield		Dr Somerfield is a neurologist and Medical Programme lecturer within the Department of Medicine.
	Professor Peter Thorne CNZM		Professor Thorne is the Associate Director of the Centre for Brain Research and leads the Cochlear Physiology Laboratory within the Section of Audiology.
	Dr Debbie Young		Dr Young leads the Molecular Neurotherapeutics team in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology.
