Auckland City Hospital Neurology Department is the only
neurology department for the Auckland
and Northland regions and, as such, has extensive clinical experience.
There are active clinical and pharmaceutical company sponsored research studies
in neurological disorders, particularly cerebrovascular diseases, brain imaging,
movement disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and neurogenetics.
Current research projects include national and international phase II and III studies
examining therapeutic agents/strategies in human subjects.
