Our ambition at the faculty is to make sure you receive the best education and
the best opportunity to meet both your personal and vocational goals, and to
meet the needs of our society today and into the future.
Our faculty consists of five schools, including Schools of Nursing, Medical
Sciences, Pharmacy, Population Health and the School of Medicine. Each School
has a focus on teaching and research, with both strands being woven together
under the term “research informed teaching”. If you join us next year, you will
find yourself as part of a 2000-strong undergraduate student body studying in
our professional or biomedical research programmes.
The faculty is also currently home to a similar 2,000 postgraduate students who
contribute significantly to the reputation the faculty enjoys as New Zealand’s
